LEXINGTON, Va. (WFXR) — It has been a rough few games for the VMI football team. Just two weekends ago, the Keydets fell to Norfolk State at Foster Stadium moving their record to 0-4 on the year. But it’s not going to get any easier from here on out. The Keydets will now turn their attention to their conference slate of games beginning with Samford this weekend. Although they’re on the hunt for their first win of the season, VMI head football coach Danny Rocco says this is an opportunity to start fresh and hopefully find their footing on the field for the remainder of the season.

The Keydets begin their SOCON slate of games Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama against Samford. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
