ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Starting on Friday, April 5, a continuous single-lane closure is in place on Route 620, or Muddy Cross Drive, over Cypress Creek, while crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation, of VDOT, perform culvert restoration.

This work, necessary to extend the lifespan of the existing culvert, requires a continuous single-lane closure on Muddy Cross Drive, and reduces the roadway to one shared lane for both directions of traffic.

Traffic signals are temporarily shifting traffic in each direction for the duration of the closure. It’s expected to take up to five weeks. Access to all existing private property and business entrances within the work zone will be maintained at all times.  

This construction work is weather and schedule dependent.
