We will have a nice stretch of weather, starting up today and lasting for most of the week. We are coming off of a very warm Sunday. High temps made it into the 70s.

After some morning rain showers, the day was very nice to get outside. However, you had to watch where you step as the ground was still spongy. Luckily, we’ll have a few dry days to help out with that.

Today, we have a cool front that is dropping to our south.

It won’t pull down much colder air. Rather we’ll cool down slightly, and we’ll dry out a little bit as well.  The dew points were in the 50s this morning, but they are dropping into the 40s. They’ll be in the 30s by later today. We’ll have a light north wind for a while, but they may turn variable at 5-10mph for a time.  High temps will be in the mid-upper 60s, but it will be cooler near the shore as water temps are still in the 40s.

Tomorrow, we’ll have a lot of sushine, but the winds will pick up just a little more out of the north. This will drop temps to the low 50s. It might even be in the upper 40s north of the metro in some places.  We’ll warm up a little on Wednesday with highs more in the mid 50s. Skies will be mostly sunny.

Then on Thursday, we’ll get another surge of warmer air. High temps will probably bounce back to near 70 as the winds pick up out of the south. We’ll be warm on Friday with highs in the 70s again. However, a big cold front will be moving in from the west. Moisture will thicken up ahead of it. So we will likely get some rain showers in the region, and we may have some thunderstorms as well. We’ll cool down next weekend.  Possibly back into the 50s.  We’ll see.

One more thing…the pollen is back up again. Last week, the rain and the colder temps kept the pollen down. However, with the recent warmth the trees are ready to let go.  So tree pollen is moderate today, and mold is moderate. Tree pollen will likley increase this week. Allergy season is beginning a little early.
