Families, staff, and community members associated with Christ the King Catholic School in Norfolk learned on Tuesday that the school is closing, permanently.

A woman was critically hurt after a shooting on Wednesday morning in Portsmouth, police said.

For the first time since the June 2024 in-custody death of Rolin Hill, body cam footage of the incident was shown during a bond hearing for the three former Virginia Beach deputies charged with second-degree murder.

During the Jan. 8 bond hearing, former deputies Kevin Wilson, Michael Kidd and Eric Baptiste were given a $5,000 bond because the judge said they were not thought to be a flight risk or a danger to the community.
