WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – The world is reacting to a deadly attack at a Russian concert hall where the death toll has surpassed 135 people.

U.S. officials say Russia was warned about the attack by ISIS, but Russian President Vladimir Putin is pointing the finger elsewhere.

Putin is trying to blame Ukraine for the deadly attack in his country.

Vice President Kamala Harris says there is no evidence linking Ukraine to the attack.

“There is no whatsoever evidence. And in fact, what we know to be the case is that Issi-K is actually, by all accounts, responsible for what happened,” Harris said.

On Friday night armed men shot up a Russian concert hall.

“I think he’s trying to blame Ukraine, but that dog don’t hunt. It’s not working,” said Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WVa.)

Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton says he’s concerned about attacks on Americans.

“We have millions of Americans who live or travel abroad throughout Europe and Asia embassies,” said Cotton.

The White House issued a statement condemning the attack and sent condolences to the Russian people.
