Hopefully, you enjoyed the sunshine over the past two days because El Sol is going on hiatus this week.

Well….hold that thought..

We will have some sunshine Monday morning, but the clouds will thicken up through the afternoon before a warm front lifts through the region on Tuesday.

Before we get there, we will see some of these clouds clear out by Monday morning.  Temperatures will drop into the upper-40s as you head out to work and school.  Mostly sunny skies will give way to mostly cloudy skies by tomorrow afternoon with highs in the mid-60s.  Since winds will be out of the east at 10 to 15 MPH, once again, it’ll be cooler along the coast, from the Eastern Shore, through Virginia Beach, to the Outer Banks.

By Monday night, rain will start to spread from the south to the north.

I think the rain will be a little more widespread across our viewing area by Tuesday morning, contrary to what our Future Trak Forecast shows here.  You’ll need an umbrella from start to finish on Tuesday – it’ll be a rather wet and breezy day with winds out of the southeast at 10 to 15 MPH.  With the wet weather and the wind, temperatures will hold close to 60-degrees.

The rain will continue through Tuesday night and a few showers are possible on Wednesday.  Despite mostly cloudy skies and a chance of showers on Wednesday, it’ll be warmer with highs in the low-70s.

Expect more clouds than sun Thursday and Friday.  Another chance of showers in the forecast on Friday with a cold front crossing the region.  Luckily, behind that front, temperatures won’t really cool off next weekend.  So far, it looks like we’ll see lots of sunshine on Saturday and Sunday with highs ranging from the upper-60s to low-70s.  Certainly great news for anyone participating in the Tour de Cure next Saturday to benefit the American Diabetes Association!  We’ll see you out there!
