This is going to be one of the coldest Thanksgivings that we’ll have had in years. At least it will be dry for travel. A cold front has moved to our south. High pressure is building in.
As the high builds east, it producing a strong northerly breeze. So temps will be in the upper 30s to low 40s, and they will stay there through the day. Winds will gust to 25mph out of the norrth. That will create wind chills in the upper 20s to low 30s at times. Brrrr. We’ll be dry across the entire region for travel.
Tonight we’ll have mostly clear skies. Temps will fall to the 20s with some low 30s near the shore. There will be a northeast breeze near the shore at 5-15mph. If the winds drop, then there will be a freeze near the shore. If the winds stay up, then temps will probably stay just above freezing. Either way it is going to be cold tomorrow morning for early Black Friday sales. We’ll be partly cloudy tomorrow. There will be a little bit of a northeast breeze through the day. High temps will rise into the mid 40s with a few upper 40s inland. On Saturday we’ll warm up nicely. We’ll be partly cloudy for a while. Then some rain showers will move in later in the day. Some of the models hold the rain off until the early evening, but some others have the rain moving in during the mid-late afternoon. So there will be some time to get outdoors and do some shopping or do some outdoor activities before the rain arrives. High temps will be in the 60s. We’ll be dry and warm on Sunday with highs in the 60s again. That will be a nice day for travel, outdoor walks, or even decorating. Happy Thanksgiving!
