HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Ocean Lakes Family Campground on Sunday donated four brand-new RVs to western North Carolina families who lost their homes from Hurricane Helene, nonprofit BeLoved Asheville said on Facebook.
“We received a call that lifted our spirits beyond words. Our friends from Ocean Lakes Family Campground were on the line with news that brought hope: they’re donating 4 brand-new RVs to help our WNC families who lost their homes in Hurricane Helene,” the post reads. “They shared, ‘This is just the beginning. We love you, and we’re with you — just as the WNC family has always been with us, visiting year after year. You are family to us.'”
“Grateful beyond words, I shared our own love for Surfside Beach, Garden City, and Myrtle Beach, which we visit whenever we can. They kindly invited us to come stay with them next time, sealing a friendship we hope will last for many years to come,” the nonprofit said. “May this generous act be the start of a lifelong connection, turning tragedy into an unbreakable bond of support and love. Thank you, Ocean Lakes Family Campground, for embracing WNC. We’re in this together.”
