Chief Meteorologist Jeff Edmondson has been at WAVY-TV 10 since 2019. Jeff previously worked at WAVY-TV 10 from 2012 to 2015. He returned to the Super Doppler 10 weather team after four years of working in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Jeff Edmondson is a seasoned forecaster, having covered hurricanes, tornadoes, and snowstorms. He started his career at KBJR in Duluth, Minnesota and also worked at KARE 11 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Jeff studied Meteorology at Iowa State University and is also a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist by the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
In February 2022, WAVY/WVBT announced that with Don Slater preparing for retirement, Edmondson would be promoted to the position of Chief Meteorologist.
In his free time, Jeff loves the outdoors, where he bikes, bodyboards, and plays fetch with his two dogs. Jeff also plays video games and has participated in a few competitive eSports events in the past.
Jeff is also an amateur astronomer and loves to share events with viewers including information about eclipses, meteor showers, and things we can see in the night sky.
