NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two charges against a man accused of murder in the death of a Norfolk woman have been certified to a grand jury.
Court records show charges of second-degree murder and attempted malicious wounding were certified, while a charge of aggravated malicious wounding was withdrawn.
Norfolk police arrested 34-year-old Robert Anthony Colon in June following the death of 36-year-old Melissa Yuhas, who was found unresponsive outside of a home on Cape Henry Avenue.
Officers had been called to the scene for a reported assault in progress. Yuhas was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where she died the next day.
