PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A Portsmouth man will spend no additional time in prison for shooting and killing his brother.

On June 23, 2022, officers responded to the 700 block of Hancock Avenue and found Clarence McManes on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.

Reginald McManes told detectives the gun fell from his waistband, went off and accidently shot, his brother, Clarence McManes.

Reginald was sentenced to 10 years, but all of time was suspended except for time served.
